Solution Underwriting started with a simple idea: service. Co-founder and joint managing director Anita Lane knew there was scope for underwriting agencies to go beyond traditional products and services.
A first-generation migrant from South America, Lane arrived in Australia with her family, like many, hoping for a better life.
For Lane, the opportunity for an education was essential and provided avenues that did not exist in her home country.
She started her insurance career as an insurance broker in Collins Street, Melbourne in 1996 — a time before the ease of online university. But Lane completed her Bachelor of Business degree anyway at night school — all while working full time.
