Attraction and retention in the insurance industry is no longer a “nice to have”: it is a business-critical capability.
As talent shortages intensify and workforce expectations shift, hiring decisions carry significant financial and operational risk.
According to insights shared by HAYLO People, a national general insurance and personal injury recruitment agency, in a recent webinar, the cost of a bad hire sits at around 30 per cent of an employee’s annual salary.
Adam Coyne, Associate Director, Personal Injury at HAYLO People, says this is only the starting point.
“If you’ve just hired someone on a $120,000 salary, that’s $36,000 lost for every candidate it doesn’t work out with,” he says.
